Element, an exhibition held at Tokyo Opera City Gallery in 2010, was an experiential show based on Cecil Balmond’s exploration of nature, geometry, pattern and space. Exhibiting large-scale works such as H_Edge and Danzer, alongside photographs, video and drawings, Balmond created an exhibition that ignited the senses – inviting the visitor to use their body, rather than information, to gain understanding.
