Net_Work was commissioned by the Engineering Services Building in Edmonton, Canada. Conceived from a deep, inner logic, the large-scale installations feature circuits of code, referencing the work of the scientific laboratory through patterns derived from Balmond’s research. An exciting and intriguing map is produced – a never-ending trace that turns every corner, extending its reach in surges or closing down into small units of intensity. Net_Work reflects the search for discovery and the tightly focused application of the scientific imperative.
