Cecil Balmond’s portrait by Jillian Edelstein was unveiled today Thursday 19th July at the National Portrait Gallery in London.

As part of the National Portrait Gallery’s new exhibition Road to 2012: Aiming High Cecil’s portrait is alongside exclusive new portraits of Boris Johnson, Mark Cavendish and the co-creator of the ArcelorMittal Orbit Anish Kapoor. As an ambassador for the London 2012 Games and the National Portrait Gallery’s patron, HRH The Duchess of Cambridge opened the exhibition and was given an exclusive preview.
