‘Their project seeks to question the traditional idea of the tower, that of a continuous, rectilinear vertical extrusion. For Balmond and Kapoor the Orbit represented an opportunity to test new possibilities and new visions. This led to the idea of the loop, a form generated by a trajectory that, rotating around a set of points, returns back on itself again and again, orbiting in space and generating a stable through asymmetrical and non-linear structure.’
