Teaching college and university students is a big part of what we do. However, if ideas have no hierarchy, then age should not be a restricting factor in spreading our message. With this mindset we went into Elizabeth Moir Junior School to run a mini-design workshop. It was an absolute blast – a pleasure from start to end.

The theme was ‘Be original’. So after a brief presentation of Balmond Studio work, the kids had the chance to design a tower or bridge that was truly unique. The results were amazing, from the Whopdeedoo bridge, to the Crowning Star tower. In fact, we were inspired to try a few new things ourselves.

We will be coming back for more sessions with different age groups. The power and joy of youth is infectious.
