The first site specific installation to be held at the Graham Museum of Fine Art in Chicago, Solid Void investigates our primal affinity with space and form in the large-scale work of H_Edge. Winding it’s way through Madlener House, the unique configuration of H_Edge was in dialogue with the turn-of-the-century language of the building creating a new urban experience entirely. The exhibition also included a series of videos and light boxes that explored Balmond’s thinking.
Solid Void was on show from September 2008 to June 2009.
