Designers, students, entrepreneurs, craftsmen, creatives and enthusiasts all converged last week at the Independence Square for SLDW 2018. It was an honor to be part of Sri Lanka Design Week - Design Code 2018 in collaboration with University of Moratuwa. Balmond Studio played a facilitator’s role behind the scenes with Creative Director James Balmond further involved as a guest speaker and special invitee.

A strong underlying theme behind this year's event was the idea of questioning the world around us from a design-driven perspective. Our desire to play an active role in nurturing design culture and infrastructure from the ground up has opened up into another portal of continuous exploration and learning.
